Peter Norton died from a brain hemorrhage after falling from his bicycle inside a Halfords store.
An inquest held in March 2017 heard that staff in the store adjusted his gears and then said he could test it inside the shop. Norton fell and bumped his head; he returned home but collapsed later that day and fell into a coma.
Coroner Guy Davies recorded a verdict of accidental death and recommended a number of actions for Halfords, including reviewing the policy of riding bikes in store.
