Guy Wharton died following a collision on the Cat and Fiddle pass. He was reportedly struck head-on by a driver overtaking a lorry.
In February 2017 Philip Lea Christian appeared in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving but did not enter a plea. He is due to appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on 20 March.
