Victoria Gayle was killed on a toucan crossing when she was struck by a Toyota Yaris driven “at speed” by Muhammed Hamza Javid.
In January 2017, Javid pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and leaving the scene of a collision. He was sentenced the following month to three and a half years’ imprisonment and was banned from driving for four and a half years, and was required to take an extended driving test.
