Karla Roman was crushed under a coach on Whitechapel Road. She was taken to hospital with critical injuries but later died.
The collision location is on the route of Cycle Superhighway 2 but it is currently unclear whether the positions of the vehicles in the images in the media are as they were at the point of collision.
The coach is operated by Clarkes Coaches (owned by National Express), who have come under fire on social media for apparently persitent poor standards of driving (videos also available), for berating cyclists in the media and for refusing to engage on the issues by employing an aggressive blocking policy on Twitter.
