Kim Briggs was knocked to the ground in a collision with a pedal cycle ridden by Charlie Alliston, while crossing Old Street in Hackney outside The Reliance pub. She suffered head injuries which were later to prove fatal.
Alliston is currently (August 2017) standing trial at the Old Bailey for two offences: that of causing bodily harm by wanton and furious driving and that of manslaughter. This report will be updated once the trial has concluded.
